These photos are taken by me during my travels. Each country shows up in one or more of the books here.
Some of the pictures were taken with an old Canon Sureshot, some with a CostCo Nikon—another amateur camera—and they betray my lack of training in myriad ways. But I love the portraits, which are often the result of a dozen shots where the subject had conferred with me on earlier takes—that is, sometimes they are truly collaborative, and I think you can tell. And then, sometimes, I just took a quick snapshot, sometimes from a moving car, truck, or train.
